Building shapes

Over the course of last two weeks, we got back in touch with model making and drafting and not just that but we also got an essence of our childhood home somewhere in between with exercises like excavating our childhood home and drawing plans of our childhood home.

The three-week exercise includes different configurations and orientations of shapes and plans and sections were needed to be made, this helped in polishing our skills when it comes to model making and drafting, considering the fact how much I struggled with model making earlier I would say this really helped me.

Further there were two exercises that includes excavating our house from two inch thermocol board with a cutter, excavating the walls, stairs, rooms and the other include making a hand drawn plans and sections of our childhood house. This exercise in particular was very fun to do. The whole carving out of thermocol gave us an abstract approach towards revisiting our childhood home and helped us in remembering the entire light and shadow play in it.
